Tweety: "I like the guy (Michael J. Fox), but I don't like that ad"...
He just played a clip of Limbaugh back-pedaling on the "off his meds or acting" remarks. Limbaugh didn't retract what he said, he simply stated that he "honestly" thought Fox skipped his meds to "show the ravages of the disease." Tweety asked his guests if Limbaugh made the situation better or worse with his latest remarks and reminded them of the old adage that when you're in a hole you should stop digging. Before he went to commercial he said "I like the guy (Fox) but I don;t like that ad."

Tough shit, Tweety. The ad wasn't made for you.

1. It's the meds that MAKE one move like that.
Without the meds, one has very little movement.

Tweety is an idiot. :(

2. That's not what he said
He was talking about Limabaugh, saying he liked the guy but not his comments.

5. I thought that at first, but I'm not sure...
He said "I like the guy, but..." and I thought he said "I don't like that ad," which...if he's talking about likeing Limbaugh but not his comments, made no sense at all.

I'll see what the transcript says when it comes out tomorrow.

14. Here's one clip. In it, Matthews is blasting repub racism and at the end
-his last jab is pretty hard to Limbaugh.

15. Just Watched the rerun. It was about Limbaugh.
He made a mistake and said he didn't like "that ad..er, that comment about the ad." He meant to say comment (Limbaugh's comment).

16. Just saw the repeat, here's what he said:
Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 06:47 PM by Human Torch
"I like the guy, but you know, I don't like that ad...that comment about the ad, rather...

Tweety...in his usual stuttering and muttering, spittle-stained manner, mumbled the last part...the part I put in bold above...so yeah, you're right. without that last part, it sounds like he's talking about MJF. WITH it, he's clearly talking about Limbaugh.

Moral of the story: FUCK Tweety. Seriously. The next person who posts a "Tweety is on FIRE" thread on DU deserves a serious and repeated ass kicking. He's "on fire" for the GOP, and that's IT.

19. Yeah! Tweety was referring to Junkie Rush--he meant, he likes Rush
I noticed that, too.

And I asked my TV-Tweety image, "What do you like about the bastard, Tweety? Don't tell me you've got a man-crush on THAT!"

BTW, about 5-6 years ago, Junkie Rush had lost his excess weight and loved to yammer on about his "secret diet" which had lost him the weight. Swell... too bad he picked up that oxycontin habit along the way. And tonight, watching the current footage of Rush (as he mimicked Michael J. Fox), I just noticed: Rush has gained the weight back!

So now he's a FAT junkie.

12. Tweety spins like a top sometimes landing on the left and then
on the right during the same DAMN segment. I'd bet money that his PsyOps mission is to keep us peons in the Chattering Classes confused. :( It would be nice to catch some of that small talk that Tweety enjoys with the Washington D.C. elite each weekend. There's hardly an high level SOCIAL event (power brokers in the government) that Tweety and his wife are NOT on the invitation list.

In other words, Tweety's part of the Establishment (Merchant) Media Whore Class. :P

Edited on Wed Oct-25-06 04:53 PM by bluethruandthru
it was never about M.J. faking it..or about dissing Michael J. Fox..it was about him being a good actor and being used by the Dems.
Yeah, Asshole..it's awful to see people who are really suffering from diseases that could be cured if your stupid born again pretender in the white house wasn't such a whore for big pharma!
The stem cell issue has never been about bush worried about the little snowflake embryos...he doesn't want diabetes cured because one of his biggest campaign contributors is the president of one of the leading manufacturers of insulin!
Big pharma has no interest in curing diseases...they make their money treating it...endlessly.

6. Isn't it funny how our world has changed?
Instead of respecting someone who is talking through personal experience and doing something about his situation, we suddenly want to shut him up and instead identify as experts, people like Matthews and Limbaugh who whore themselves each night so they can afford the big houses.

What makes Matthews, who will say anything for money, more credible than someone who is speaking from the heart who is representing thousands of people like him, and who doesn't expect monetary compensation?

and that's why it's so effective - as it should be.

10. And we should care because . . .?
Tweety's irrelevant. He's not a journalist or even a pundit. He's a weak guy with a megaphone, and anyone who watches him has to observe the struggle between his inner conformist and his need for attention. Not a fun or educational way to pass time.

17. Here's why I post this shit:
...and you'll see this in another response I posted here...

Every once in a while, Matthews will "speak out" against some little thing the GOP did. That results in an IMMEDIATE influx of "Tweety is on FIRE" threads on DU, with carefully noted observations about how "the worm (or "tide") has TURNED," and Tweety is now one of US, and GO TWEETY.

All of which is utter bullshit, because ever since Mattews gazed in wonder upon the sock-stuffed crotch of George W. Bush on the "Mission Accomplished" deck of the USS Lincoln, there is NO MYSTERY as to where his "loyalties" lie. He's a big-headed Bush whore. Case closed. I post this stuff to keep the "real" Matthews in the spotlight...not that I owe you an explanation (with all due respect, I don't).

20. Yup! Tweety will always return to his beloved repukelicans.
"Blabber blabber blabber... Bush's sunny nobility... blabber blabber blabber... Bush should be on Mt. Rushmore... blabber blabber blabber... ev'ryone kinda likes the Preznit except a few wackos on the left... blabber blabber blabber..."

He's sickening. He gives giggling, babbling schoolgirls a bad name.
