What are YOU doing to GOTV?
I was very heartened to see that here in district 1, NM, a CRITICAL house pick up (we lose this one, forget it, we're done), there are 2 dialing parties in the next week, both almost full through MoveON.org

How is your competitive district doing GOTV?

What kills me sometimes is that liberals(And at heart, I'm a libertarian, at best, but I can't take these guys...fascism is the polar opposite of libertarianism), talk a big game, show up for protests WAY more than their right-wing counterparts, but when it comes to the mundane, like dialing progressive voters to make sure they vote, they don't seem to interested. Is it because its not dramatic enough?

Can you look at yourself in the mirror in your competitive district, if you lose on Novemeber 7th? Will you come to DU and bitch about stolen votes? Or will you feel guilty, because deep down, you were too much of a coward, or too apathetic, or worst of all, a hypocrite, by not doing ANYTHING to win your district?

If we cannot GOTV this time around, we will NEVER WIN ANOTHER ELECTION ever again.

1. I'm taking off of work the day before the election
and I'm ever so slowly lit dropping my ward. If I get done with it before the election, I'll do the next ward over.

I'm lit dropping for Bryan Kennedy, who we hope will beat Sensenbrenner.

2. Hats off to you mate.
If everyone that posted on this forum did the same, we would certainly win for sure.

I'm sick of hearing about Republican political machinery...but to tell you the truth, I've seen it in action.

We need to match that.

3. I made a bumper sticker

cafepress

LOL, I've been "buying" them from myself and giving them to friends, coworkers, etc. I also leave them here and there - grocery store shelves, fast-food restaurants, a couple of malls, etc.

5. Been walking precincts since late September
1. Have organized two Democratic Workshops to encourage people to get active in their precincts.
2. Have organized a crew of volunteers to walk a specific precinct every weekend since last weekend of September. We have collectively walked 10 precincts so far and 2 more to go before the elections.
3. Helped create boxes for targeted precincts - precinct map, voter walking lists so people know what houses to go to, voter guide cards, Vote by Mail instructions and candidate info.
4. Will also be working election day as poll manager.

6. Working with area coordinator ...
PA, so putting Santorum down is PRIORITY ONE ... We have a LONG shot house representive trying to take down a long standing repuke in a MASSIVE district ... Rendell is a near lock to beat Swann ... And a decent man trying to beat a son of a career politician who is a riser in the R party for State Senate ...

All volunteer ... A couple of people working as area directors, moderately (not great, but better than the past for sure) organized for the precincts in our area ... Not all, but the majority of the precincts are covered ...

I made GOTV calls in my development two weekends ago, and did lit drops in our adjoining development last weekend ... Our precinct has been reorganized, and our voting area is now at a residencial facilitity at the top of our development - one way in and out the front of our development, so PRIME yard sign posting possibilies ... I posted our candidates at the front of the development at the road ... There are NO other signs in either development, so I am holding fire until the Monday of the election, and will burn out whatever signs are left up our drive and at the front of the residencial facility ...
