From the WA caucus, and interesting statistic.
We had 6 precincts caucus at the same location up here in the Mt. Baker foothills. The county coordinator noted that the last time the party caucused, 2002, three people showed up. Today there were Ninety-three. That is an awesome turnout. Kerry got 1/3 of the delegates followed pretty closely by Kucinich and Dean in that order. No other candidate got a single nod. About a quarter of them were still undecided and will go to the county convention that way. The people are fired up and ready to unseat this abominable regime.

1. Excellent news - and a reminder
that if you don't vote in 2004 out of sheer spite, you won't have much company.

3. My daughter reported the same from Iowa.
So many more people showed up for caucuses than anticipated, that they ran out of forms to register people to vote. They can register at the time of the caucus there.

I read recently that so many new people have been registering in Missouri that the courthouses cannot handle the load.

This looks good for us. Most of the people who are registering seem to be angry Democrats.

4. I attended the caucus today at the Seattle Labor Temple.
I don't have a count, but the main meeting hall was PACKED. The question was asked: "How many of you are attending a caucus for the first time? Virtually every hand in sight was raised.
