HEYJOHN Worked!! INCREDIBLE results. |
|
It gave the Kerry camp a good reason to let everyone know what a fantastic job John Kerry has been doing all along to build the party, recruit good candidates, and raise a hell of a lot more money to win key 06 races than anyone else.
Kerry has been really modest about all the money he was raising to help Dem candidates using his big LIST. Great that the word is now out.
Wonder who was behind HeyJohn??
Anyway, a lot is owed to the great Senator.

1. No, it didn't accomplish its goal, which was to smear the |
|
good senator, so I wouldn't say 'it worked'.

2. The smearing of Kerry was disgraceful. |
|
Even though I'm not a fan, I'm glad it seems to have worked out to his advantage. Maybe it will prevent any more such attacks on him or other Democrats in the future. If it was done to him by other Democrats, it was not our best moment, as a Party.
At any rate, it made enough noise so that a lot of help and $$$ is going to go to Democrats in tight races now. That's a good way for such a despicable gambit to end, I say!

3. It did issue a notice that we're done with lone wolves. |
|
If you want to be the Democratic candidate, you have to support the Party. I'm glad to hear that Kerry is coming through.

5. Yeah - but they targeted the one guy who was NEVER a lone wolf when |
|
it came to supporting the party and the candidacies of others.
IranContra, BCCI and CIA drugrunning, public financing for campaigns, gays serving openly in military - yes, he was mostly a lone wolf - and thank undergod he persevered for US.

6. I think only the most dedicated people were aware of his contributions. |
|
In a way, the "Hey John" backfired because it let people know what he had been doing and put other politicians on notice to share the wealth.

7. The sad part. If a loveguy Dem had done 1/10 what Kerry's accomplished for |
|
this country, every Dem would know those feats like the back of their hands. Nixon WH had operatives working at the Globe to plant antiKerry stories in the early 70s, and the RNC has kept that operation in place ever since.

It was wrong from the outset.
