the "macaca" statement and Allen's bigoted background should help him in VA. I believe Republicans in the south have been winning this way for a long time.

That there aren't enough decent people voting to overcome the racists who love this crap

1. Agreed. What I think is most sad is that in their minds, it's FAIR. nt

3. The Fox ad on stem cell is a unifying campaign message. It brings people
together on the need for research.

5. Maybe right-sad. Not just Tennessee
They focus group this stuff I'm sure. Tennessee is not alone. Here in liberal Massachusetts the Republican Lt Gov Healey based her campaign on fear-mongering and race-baitng

What do you think are the chances that Mitt Romney could have coincidentally used the term Tar-baby the same month as Tony Snow.

All the more important to prove them wrong and make them pay

7. Umm, why are we all doom and gloom?
Ford and Corker are tied. Lets wait until after the election to determine whether this ad worked or not.

8. Repugs didn't need
the racist ad. Anyone who habors those mysoginist feelings wouldn't be voting for Ford anyway. It's unlikely that any FOrd supporter would suddenly change their mind because of this ad. (OHMYGODOHMYGOD! Ford might want to date a white woman. I can't vote for him now!) All this did was expose the Repugs for the desperate racists that they are.

10. Agreed
Ford may have an opportunity to turn it in his favor. And it looks like he's working hard on that. But if Ford did nothing, I am sure this would have been a great ad for Corker.

11. George Allen's bigoted background isn't helping him.
Allen will probably win, but he was way ahead in the polls before story after story about his bigotry. Now it will be a close election.

12. It's working alright, FOR FORD!
That's the tactical analysis on the ground

That dung eating swill merchant, corrupt ass Corker was desperate to go for these measures and now Tenneseans are ashamed about the farce that this throwback to reconstruction has caused in their state.

I'm in regular contact with a Tennesean(a fellow democrat who is more conservative then I) and the is what he tells me is the reality on the ground.
