It was a lot of work to find that out, but i still can't find the poll numbers.
What i can find, suggests these are all safe seats, and that is why they
are behaving like nutballs on steroids, supported by a nazi stupido public
until armageddon or WW3, or both.

9. I think Curt Weldon may have a closer than normal race...

Here is a link with polls from a number of House races.

http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2006/Info/house_polls.html

If you scroll down to Pennsylvania, you can see Weldon's. Weldon is only one-point apart from his strong Dem opponent in a poll from a month ago. A more recent one has Weldon with a decent lead, but I'm not sure about the polling firm; RT Strategies could be a Repug polling firm for all I know...

The others are all fairly safe seats, I think. Jefferson's New Orleans seat is safely Democratic, but if he doesn't manage 50-percent in the November election, due to Louisiana's interesting system, he would be forced into a run-off and hopefully could get replaced by a non-corrupt Democrat. I haven't seen any polls on the race, though, so I don't know whether or not there's any chance of Jefferson not getting a majority of the vote.

10. Weldon is now down by 8...
I guess the Fed's raiding your daughters house and office has that kind of effect...

13. I don't believe Don Young's seat is as safe as he thinks it is.
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 11:28 PM by Blue_In_AK
We work with the campaign of his opponent, Diane Benson, who according to the latest poll that I've seen is only down by about 9 percentage points now (compared to -15 last week). She is picking up new supporters daily. The Anchorage Daily News (Alaska's largest newspaper) has run four editorials against him in the past month, and there are daily LTTEs in support of Diane. I would love nothing more than to see this porker gone. He is as corrupt as they come.

Not to keep harping on this, but if we had had a little help from the DCCC, we would be even closer. Over 80% of Diane's campaign contributions have come from individual Alaskans, while Young's war chest (millions) has been stuffed by Outside corporate interests.
