GOP pulling DeWine ads
DeWine will be left to campaign on his own, according to tv news here in Cleveland. Sherrod Brown is now leading by 20 points in the latest poll at SurveyUSA.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican National Committee said Thursday it won't run any television ads in Ohio on behalf of Sen. Mike DeWine during the final week of the campaign.

RNC spokesman Aaron McLear said the national party organization had reserved time to run statewide TV ads next week as DeWine tries to come back against Democratic Rep. Sherrod Brown, who leads in recent polls. But in the end, the RNC decided not to make the purchase, McLear said.

National Democrats said it showed the Republicans were giving up on the two-term senator.

1. What's the point of being in a political party?
I mean, if it doesn't back you up when you're the nominee, why even be a part of it?

3. Guess the GOP figures
DeWine can waste money on his own campaign.

Apparently, they're redeploying their funds in other races they think they have a better chance of winning. Its going to be a bad year for them.

Just goes to show Dems what can happen if they decide to stand up and fight the GOP - they can win.

5. DeTrash Heap; DeDump
Amazing DeWine has been able to get by with his little "moderate" farce for as long as he has. He just needed a good Dem opponent who wasn't afraid to take him to the wood shed.

6. I'm putting that PD front page on my wall until it turns yellow with age
Friday afternoon, front page, above the fold. Things are good.

GOP dumps ads for DeWine

This is like Omar Bradley's army crossing the Rhine. Victory will be ours. Sherrod Brown executed a campaign that was on message and nearly perfect. In this election cycle, it looks like four Democrats are going to knock out four incumbent Republican senators: Chafee, Santorum, DeWine, and Burns.
