We need a middle ground, or even a Pat Buchanan(the right's Nader) to run for President to take that extra edge off of Bush.

Now there is a man I haven't thought about it awhile. Those guys got 19% of the national vote? No?

He could drain off the hardcore racist rednecks who are upset about giving "amnesty" to "the damn messicens".

Only Perot with his wealth could run. Getting on the ballot is very expensive. Nadir and Buchanan only ran because there was federal money. Nothing there now.
The turnout so far suggests that Democrats are ready to kick Bush really hard. Who needs these these intruders?

9. This feeds into a common misconception . . . |
|
We tend to think that Perot was an advantage to Clinton and a disadvantage to Bush, and was the reason Clinton won.
Actually, based on polls done at that time and analysis of voting patterns, Perot pulled votes from both Dems and Republicans, more or less in equal numbers (although slightly more from Bush than Clinton).
Overall the affect was rather small. Let's leave Perot where he is. We need all the votes we can get this time around.
