Polls are meaningless.

3. FYI, the one poll of WA...
Had Dean at 10%. He got 30%. The polls of Michigan also had him at 10% at most, with most having him < 10%. He got 17%.

6. dean is 35% below kerry nationaly
WI may be different than national polls, but it isn't going to be that different.

5. Dean has to stay in it to the convention
Kerry's negatives will continue to rise IMHO and he will be viable there -- but only if he stays in it.

He has to be in it to win it.

He is nowhere near cooked. Kerry can crash and burn as a candidate at any time (although I suspect Rove will not allow this until after the convention)

12. Are you suggesting delegate minds may change before the first vote
at the convention?

Everyone is committed on the first vote. If Kerry has a majority committed by the first vote it doesn't matter if someone wants to change his/her mind.

8. He lost a union endorsement today
with a couple others likely to follow.

He's not competing in next weeks states.

I think the writing is on the wall.

11. Dean came in a STRONG second in WA and second in MI.
He was the only one besides Kerry to pick up any delegates today, and he continues to raise funds at a level far better than any other candidate.

Why isn't Edwards done?

Why isn't Clark done?

Why isn't Sharpton done?

Why isn't Kucinich done?

Why are you and the media so intent on killing off the candidate who raised more money in small donations than any other Democrat in history?

13. Personally,
because Dean is unelectable. He has a temper and he'll crack just as he has before.

14. Dean has spent the most money.
Dean was the front-runner for quite a while. Dean has been campaigning much longer than most, if not all of his rivals. Dean has not won a state. Edwards has. Clark has. Although I don't agree with the original posters verbiage, I do think it is a valid point.
