Taxes, including income taxes, are why our standard of living is so high

Will someone please explain that to the ditto heads? Unless you are fortunate enough to be born to a family that has inherited wealth stolen from most of us, you can't pay for a road to your home, a trash collector, clean water etc. And the folks screaming the most don't even pay that much in EARNED INCOME taxes because most don't even work.. They may pay huge taxes on othe kinds of income from dividends, interest, profits etc. but we should all be so lucky to have to pay high taxes because it means you are making a hell of a lot of money from somewhere.
