In an insult to Lone Ranger fans everywhere, Time calls Bush "The Lone Ranger."


Bush lonely this election

The last time control of Congress was up for grabs in a midterm election, it seemed Republican candidates across the country couldn't be seen enough with President Bush. But with just nine days left before voters head to the polls, some GOP candidates are running down the campaign trail without stopping for the president.

2. OK, this reminds me of a joke...
the Lone Ranger and Tonto are surrounded by a band of hostile Indians (ok, Native Americans).
The Lone Ranger turns to Tonto and says "Tonto, there are warriers ahead of us, warriers behind us, warriers to the left, and warriers to the right! What are we going to do?

Tonto says "What you mean 'we', white man?"
