Almost one week away and why do I feel nervous? |
|
One week from Tuesday, it will be a threshold moment for America. The polls are in favor of the Democrats, the Republicans have stumbled big time and yet why do I still feel uneasy about next week? It seems like Bush and their Crime Family seem too calm looking. I don't see them tense at all. I often wonder "What are they up to?" Don't think for a minute the Karl Rove spinning wheel isn't running on overtime right now. Also, has anybody forgot the Diebold machines? I do not think this election will be a blow out unless everybody....EVRYBODY gets out there and votes this time around.
Now, I hope something wonderful does happen next week. I hope the Rethugs lose big time but why do I get a strange feeling about this election? Maybe the worst could come from it would be a draw. The Democrats gain a few seats in both chambers and the Rethugs lose a few. However, let's not underestimate the callous, evil Neocons. They will stop nothing at keeping the power they have gained. Just think about that come Election Day.

What a scary article and the mugs of Ann Coulter and Bob Novak were bad enough. It made me want to puke too! Thanks for that heads up or in this case...heads down!

with a freakin insurance co CEO/lobbyist as our senator!
We will learn if the US is so FUBAR it is all over - either stolen elections or a citizenry that has become so heartless and cruel that it will truly elect these awful people. It is possible we will know too much on Nov. 8.

13. Cantwell already has my vote but.... |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 10:30 AM by Cascadian
that's as far as I would go with her. The reason McGavick is catching up is because 1. He is getting a lot of backing from the GOP hierarchy and 2. Cantwell's record on Iraq, The Supreme Court, and Free Trade has become her Achilles’ heel. Yeah. She has done great things with the Environment and taking on Enron but her performance with the other issues have been half-assed or no-assed at best in my opinion. Maybe this is why you have a Green Party candidate and other Democrats that ran against her in the primaries.
So it came to me holding my nose and casting my vote for Cantwell. So nobody can get on my case for not doing so.

10. We still have to get out and VOTE! |
|
I smell a KKKarl rove shuck 'n jive with this talk of Democrat victory on 11/7. Mid term elections are usually low turn out affairs with the party mustering up the most voters winning. Don't be fooled by talk that the Democrats have a lock on the election and not vote. The talk radio pukes are screaming everyday for the repug base to get out and vote.

I really think that there are people out there who think that there are no differences between the two big parties. You have to admit that the Democratic Party has been infiltrated by corporatists and their cronies (DLC) and Democrats must do better to distinguish themselves to Mr. and Mrs. Middle America. Some of them still do not see the difference.

18. True and I think over the years this is what I have heard most----- |
|
'they are all crooks' I guess it is their own statement but it does mean we who vote really have more say than we should have. And of course I am thinking a small state like Maine has more say any how. Not much Pop, but we of course get our two Sen. So even if we are a top voting state we end up with a little more say than say NJ per person. I laugh about it now but I recall my mother saying to me. "Women could not vote in the year I was born' and it always stayed with me. The fight in our home was was my mother going to vote for FDR or not. She used to tease my father about it. Maine was a real GOP state in those days. They were sure a different breed of that party then what we see today. I even learned 'it takes a village to raise a kid' from my father.

My feelings are that the polls are not even telling the true story out there. People are angry with the republicans. I believe it is going to be a landslide. No Diebold machine can hold back the will off the people this time round.

15. There are still a lot of people who are not going to vote though. |
|
Like I said in a recent post there are a lot of people who still see no difference between the two parties and those are the people you have to convince otherwise and the Democrats must do a better job at getting the point across. I hope it is a landslide. I hope that the Thugs get their asses handed to them but we ought to be worried about three things. 1. Apolitical people, 2. Karl Rove, and 3. The Diebold machines.
