The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette backed Rendell for governor; the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review chose not to endorse Rendell or Swann.To give you a better understanding of the two Pittsburgh Papers - the Post-Gazette and the Tribune-Review would be like the Washington Papers. Post-Gazette is the Washington Post of Pittsburgh papers whereas the Tribute-Review is the Washington Times - a conservative rag owned by a conservative nutjob, this time the nutjob is Richard Mellon-Scaife.
You'd think that Mellon-Scaife would at least do the right thing and endorse Lynn Swann but hell, they just didn't endorse anyone. That has got to hurt for Swann.
