Two Republican districts tightening in CO. Musgrave in danger of elimination!!!
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 08:36 PM by rockymountaindem
Ok, here's some exciting news. According to a new poll conducted by NBC News in Denver, Marilyn Musgrave is down 48 to 45 percent against her Democratic opponent Angie Paccione. This is big news as the last poll showed Paccione losing by ten percent. This gets even better when you consider that in the new poll showing Angie leading by three, the poll didn't include Reform Party candidate Eric Eidsness, who many expect will pull up to 10% of the vote and further undermine Musgrave.

Furthermore, in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area, Fighting Dem. Jay Fawcett's internal polling show him in close contention with James Dobson's acolyte Doug Lamborn. Both of these races are eminently winnable, and if you've got any money to spare, please consider making a donation.

To underscore the desperate situation in which the Republicans find themselves, Bush is in Ft. Collins today to stump for Musgrave, and Cheney is in Central Colorado to pump up the flagging Lamborn. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel, and we can only hope that more of these:

will only drag Marilyn farther down than she is even now. I know I've made several posts asking for funds. Forgive me. I'm frustrated because I attend school out of state and I can't help our Colorado Dems on the ground for election day. This is my way of helping Sen. Paccione and Lt. Colonel Fawcett over the top. Please give them what you can after you've donated to Webb and McCaskil. Thanks for your understanding, and allow me to give some credit to www.coloradopols.com for the information.

Please donate here if you can spare a ten-spot:

Thanks for your help. If you can't donate, please keep this post kicked while I hit the gym :)

1. I've done some work for Jay
and he's a great candidate. This will be our only chance in our lifetime to win this seat. He's a great candidate and deserves our support.

2. Danger?
Don't think of it as danger; think of it as opportunity.

3. Well, perhaps I misspoke.
I was trying to put myself in her shoes for a minute, and let me tell you they were quite uncomfortable at this particular moment.

5. We're having a rally for Jay on Thursday night in Canon City!
You see almost NO Lamborn signs in this town, which went overwhelmingly for Crank in the Repug primary. Plus Lamborn really put his foot in him mouth in the debate here. Could it be...
