9. I'll be at home glued to the TV.
I'll be hoping that Claire McCaskill unseats Jim Talent, that the stem-cell initiative passes, and hoping that a min. wage increase for Missourians passes.

12. I'll be working all day as an election judge here in Cook County, IL.
I'm hoping to be home by 8:30-9:00pm, so I can watch the election returns. Hopefully, we can pick up the IL-06 and IL-10 and hold onto IL-08.

I'm also hoping I have no problem getting into DU that night either. It'll probably be at Level 4 by the time I get home.

13. Hopefully vote reconsilliation won't
take too long. Have to drop off the ballots at the drop-off point, mail one of the ballot box keys another of a different party will mail the other.
Then to home and watch the returns.

15. Top of the Park in Traverse City
WE Dems booked it before the Rethugs could and now they have to book the massive and very expensive Dome if they are going to continue their Park Place tradition. haha I love when we do that.

16. Early on, I will be calling some of the
people in my precinct to make sure they voted, or that they have a way to get to the polls.

Later, I will be at our county headquarters, with other Democrats, watching the election results on TV.

I will try to get home early enough to talk to my kids, and the other relatives who will surely call me about the election results. My son usually calls me from the radio station where he works. He keeps me posted on the news they get there.

I will not sleep. We will be too triumphant for me to settle down easily.

17. My neighbors always throw
a great election night party. We have a bonfire, good food, and then watch the results coming in. This year we look forward to not having to cheer each other up and swear at the TV. Around 30 people usually show up, all progressive dems.

18. I wish I could go to a party, but, as I'm in the family way, bars -
where our local Dems generally meet - are out of the question right now. Too smoky and tempting.

So, I guess I'll be here, with the hubby, celebrating - hopefully - but probably not. We'll get stuck with that nasal-toned numbnut, rubber-stamping Republican Corker - thanks to our Hart Interactive machines.

Sigh.

22. Local Democratic Headquarters manning the tote board as usual
We have "runners" come in from each polling district with the raw numbers from the machines written down on pieces of paper. The runner hands me the paper, I add up the machine votes for that district and post it with black marker on a large oak tag poster hung on the wall. It's exciting and I wouldn't miss it for anything.

25. Probably Ed Rendell's lucky hotel - the Wyndham in Philly
I'm thinking I should volunteer in Philadelphia on the day of the elections just because that's where the repukes will target the most vile acts of repression in order to secure a win for Santorum. Usually all the Philly candidates have their party together at the Wyndham
