"Radical Left"
This is the phrase that the Repubs are using when "warning" who will take over the Congress, if the Dems win.

"Radical left"?

C'mon...they have got to be kidding us.
Does anyone truly believe that the radical left has a voice anywhere but the internet?

I submit that the Dems are all pretty much centrists except for a small handful and they are by no means radical.

As usual the Repubs are running based on trying to scare the electorate to the polls.
That is all they have at this point.

3. If anyone is radical it is they, the Radical Right.
The people who have ruined, yes, destroyed this Nation. I doubt we can ever regain what they have taken from us. The Radical Right is the scourge people need to fear.

4. They've gone so far to the right....
that anything left of Attila the Hun looks like communism/socialism/whatever radical leftist ideaology is in vogue.

This country is in dire need of a jerk to the left anyway. It will take 10 years of pure socialism to get us back to the rational center, where we belong, anyway.

7. This is one thing that amazes me
This constant use of the term 'radical left'. WHO in Congress is radical left, by the standards of any country that actually has a radical left?

8. The "radical left" according to today's GOP
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 09:10 AM by brentspeak
might just as well be a Democrat like Bill Nelson (either Fl or Neb) or Blanche Lincoln. One of the major goals of the Republicans' propaganda over the past 20 years has been to shift the definition of "center" as far to the right as possible.

9. Radical Left? Sign me up.
I consider myself a member of the activist left, and I always chuckle when Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, etc. define the current Democratic Party as the radical left, loony left, far left, etc.

I have voted for Democrats before and I will this time too. But most of my financial contributions and volunteer time go to antiwar groups or folks like the ACLU and Center for Constitutional Rights that have been in the forefront of challenging Bush's assault on the Constitution. They need all the help they can get.

After the election next week when the Democrats take the House and maybe the Senate too, things won't get better over night. We will still have to organize to end the war in Iraq. Goodyear Tires will still be trying to smash the USW union who are currently on strike. The homeless will still need shelter and food. The Minutemen will continue to whip up a racist frenzy toward our undocumented brothers and sisters.

Next Thursday (we'll need Wednesday to rest) go help on a union picket line, join the ACLU, volunteer at a food pantry, make plans to attend the rally to close the School of the Americas on Nov. 17-19, attend the weekly peace vigil in your town to end the war in Iraq.

Let's show the Bush regime what the radical left can do to improve our country.

Bring the troops home now.

10. Their definition of "Radical Left" is...
...anyone who is interested in preserving The Constitution. Anyone who is interested in observing The Geneva Convention. Anyone who elects diplomacy over bombs. Anyone who believes that health care is for ALL Americans. Anyone who believes that Americans should be employed by American companies and earn a LIVING wage. Anyone who believes that women should have control over her uterus. Anyone who believes that science is reality and Jesus is a dead, Jewish carpenter. Anyone who believes that all American's votes be counted and that voters never be disenfranchised. Anyone who believes that global warming is real and that our Earth is not intended for us to rape but to love and care for it. Anyone who is not a boot-licking-supplicant of the Bush Administration.

So I guess I qualify.
