SIGN ON THE LINE (Chickenhawk Bait)
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 08:59 AM by BOSSHOG
The next time some flag waving zealot insists we must stay the course in Iraq hand him an Armed Forces Enlistment Document and tell him to SIGN ON THE LINE.

A PDF version (4 pages) can be found right here:

http://sumweb.syr.edu/armyrotc/exceldocppt/WP/DD%20004.pdf

And don't forget to offer him a ride to the nearest Army Recruiting Station. Its so much more manly when you got skin in the game. And if he whines about being killed or maimed, tell him, "what the fuck, you haven't given a fuck about those who have been killed or maimed the past 3 and a half years." Urge that man to stick that big monstrous conserative cock out there and send it to the war they so dearly love.

1. The most important words in the contract...
"I,__________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Notice the lack of fealty to a little simian in these words.

2. I'm rather fond of that domestic enemies clause
because that is exactly what "values voters" and "christians" and conservatives and republicans and members of free republic and members of focus on the family are - DOMESTIC ENEMIES OF THE CONSTITUTION.

3. Domestic enemies=Biblical Reconstructionists
In their own words, by their actions they are seditionists. They, unlike all of the civil groups they like to call unpatriotic have the express purpose of destroying the Constitution and replacing it with Biblical Law.

I can here this echo from a future court scene:

"Are you now or have you ever been a member of, or otherwise supportive of, the Biblical Reconstructionist movement?"

4. In my head and in my heart
The constitution is a shield not a weapon. People who say they are "christian" and cavort to make such anti-constitution organizations such as focus on the family powerful want to use the document as a weapon they hate then destroy the document. So incredibly sad.
