5. Wasn't that an amazing moment?
I was LMAO over that particular quote from Wes. I think it was the perfect closer on an already impressive speech.

I can't get over the fact that Wes Clark is the ONLY candidate that is out there with specific proposals on this stuff while Edwards and Kerry stand and talk about stuff that is wrong and then never give you ANY idea how they are gonna fix it. It's like they are gonna wave a magic wand and make it all better?

Clark talks about changes and refers to them in the context of "it won't cost us a dime" or "we are asking 1 tenth of one percent of the richest Americans to step up and pay more taxes so that 30 some million Americans can have_____" (Sorry-I don't have exact quotes on any of those, but I wanted to illustrate how concrete he is!)

Wes rocked in the speech last night, and the only bummer to me was that the crowd mics were turned off and you couldn't hear their response!

9. nice line but he misses the point
the president has to have more than one focus and he has tobe able to communicate a message well enough to win votes.

Clark would still have to rely on the intellegence community for information, rely on the joint chiefs to manage defense strategy and still rely on the diplomatic corp to manage foreign relations.

He has to establish policy and he's not shown much ability in that area.

The inability to communicate is obvious in his primary performance.

10. You're too, too kind
The inability to communicate is obvious in his primary performance.

Gee, thanks for that little snippet of constructive criticism, arewethereyet. :eyes:

Maybe you should listen to what he actually says in his speeches and take a look at his numerous policy positions posted on www.clark04.com. He does talk about issues other than national security. He was a soldier and not a career politician or lawyer and perhaps can't lay it on as thick as others. Maybe he didn't have as much free time to spend polishing his oratory skills, but I'd rather have someone who could lead this country intelligently than have someone who talks a good talk but doesn't walk the walk.

As far as I'm concerned, Clark's intelligence and message comes through bright and clear.

11. OK he connected to you, great
and obviously to many others as well, also great.

But there is a nation full of other people he MUST do the same thing with and he's just not doing it.

You can belittle me for pointing out the obvious, I'm a big boy, I can take it. But you should be honest enought to yourself to admit that this is is the reality of what has happened.
