Looks like "Zig Zag" Zell Miller isn't done turning the knife
Zell Miller stabbed his party in the back in 2004 and as of this moment he is still turning the blade while it is still embedded in the flesh of the Dems.
It seems as if "Turncoat" Miller is putting his energy and effort into helping the repukes keep hold of their position in Congress by forming a group of Dems that are lending support to, of all people, Rick "Man-on-Dog" Santorum.
Here's the link to the story:
http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/blogs/politicalticker/2006/10/zell-miller-leads-democratic-coalition.html

I wish I understood what he was thinking, that is if he is thinking at all. I don't understand why Miller would throw his support behind Santorum. Isn't Miller retired? What does he have to gain? Everything I have read nearly everywhere regarding to the Santorum/Casey senate race points to the prospect that Santorum is dead meat. What possible motive could Miller have to support Santorum? Is he pissed off at something? It almost boggles the mind. Maybe he is just plain nuts!

Zell's about as relevant in the 2006 election as my dog. Who listens to him? The Dems certainly don't. And the Republicans aren't campaigning with him. He's done. Stick a fork in him.

11. My dog's name is Salty...
thus, he's a salty dog. Hence the raincoat.

I know, I know. Pathetic. My only defense is that I live with my girlfriend, and it's all her fault.

14. 50% chance of the dog being a "she"
and I got it wrong! Sorry...
I got a mod-print raincoat for a friend's mini-doberman. She looked hilarious, and it was all my fault, LOL.

9. Aha! Mr. Miller is looking for legal cover! Well now,
that does make sense now doesn't it! Trying to get a little pull from Santorum and some of the committees he's on. Personally, I think Zell is wasting his time. Santorum is going down and he is going to go down spectacularly! F__k you, Zell! You're beating a dead horse!

BTW, thanks for the link!

17. Makes sense...pity, he was a great governor.
Clinton carried Georgia because of his awesome convention speech. But now he's sold out the entire state of Georgia and it will take us years to recover.

13. Zell is a Republican, not a Dem
He left our party years ago. His actions carry no more weight than any other GOP'er.

18. I'll never forget the 2004 RNC convention...
I was biting my lip and watching it with my 9 year old daughter - until Zell came on. He scared the living crap out of her. She ran to her room and began to furiously make K&E signs.

I'm convinced that he's blown a circuit permanently, and the political world knows it.
