David Gergen on AC360 says don't keep on Kerry
when we are on the verge of loosing TWO wars simultaneously.

Isn't that the truth? Do not be misled, keep the focus on the Decider, his lies, the soldiers he sent to their death, and his imminent impeachment.

1. Well, he - and Sullivan - are also saying Kerry must apologize...
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 10:14 PM by NRaleighLiberal
so, Bush can joke about not finding WMD, call troop losses just a comma - utterly disrespect the troops in classic chickenhawk fashion....and Kerry has to apologize? I don't get it at all....

6. Gergan has it wrong. Apologizing would not end this.
Think it out. The repubs won't let it die even with an apology. The are going to run with their lie about Kerry's statement no matter what. If he were to apologize, that would be the same as admitting he bashed the troops. If some Democrats would just get out and change the subject, the media would move on. Gergan has been wrong at times and this is one time he is really wrong. You should be outraged enough at the Republicans that you are saying you are going to help get out the vote.

7. I don't necessarily think an apology is needed. I think he needs to say that
his statement was misunderstood because it was a blundered joke about the ineptness and imcompetence of the idiot in chief. Then move straight ahead into the real issues. No fighting about this. It only keeps the story with legs. Kerry is not the issue now. Iraq is. Winning the congress is. Let's stay focused and close this deal for a change.

10. You guys are wrong.
Kerry should apologize, explain, but apologize and, like Gergen said, go dark.

11. Kerry should have explained more
While it was good for JK to attack the rw noise machine, he should have explained to people sitting at home that he didn't mean what he said, and that it was a gaffe.

3. I thought he went negative on Kerry when the war in Iraq hasn't been
talked about much this election season. I think Kerry helped turn that around despite Gergen, who I have liked lately.
Why all the horror about Kerry? These guys need to get a grip.

4. Kerry was right to respond. Now it's over. At every opportunity he should
talk about Bush getting us stuck in Iraq. Katrina foreign policy.

5. That's right. Kerry and all Democrats should keep the focus on *.
He invaded two countries and "accomplished" nothing. He is losing the war in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Cheney and Halliburton/KBR have made a "killing" there and all their losses and screw-ups cannot be traced.

The Decider mismanaged "his" wars. He has thrown this country into tremendous debt by waging wars but demanding tax cuts for the wealthy.

We must keep the focus on our troops that are dying for Bush lies. We need to decide on our own talking points and keep repeating them over and over again.
