Washington Post has a devastating editorial on Allen
and his stupid pursuit of sex in Webb's fiction

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/10/31/AR2006103101129.html

and please also note that the Kerry-Bush exchange is on page A08:

1. That's reassuring
now we need it to be the 8th story that runs on cable news...

2. It will be by tomorrow...
It is already off the CNN headline page, and never made it to the MSNBC headline page...

It is going to turn out to be nothing...

Although I think an aggressive response could have turned it to our advantage...

If Bush keeps pimping it...and I hear he is going on Limbaugh tomorrow...there is still an opportunity to be had...

3. Yes, I think Bush on Rush so soon after his remarks about Fox
Edited on Tue Oct-31-06 11:28 PM by Bumblebee
may well be THE story tomorrow, not Kerry. The NYT write-up of the story is also the opposite of what the WH was hoping for:

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/01/us/politics/01elect.html?hp&ex=1162357200&en=fb0106b47cf02a17&ei=5094&partner=homepage

Between these two that's what the local press will mostly feature.

If that was their hope for the October Surprise, we should be so lucky!

It's ironic, in the light of this WP editorial and Webb's much-improved poll numbers, that sex in Webb's books was, prior to today's Kerry event, the most serious "the sky-is-falling" incident among some people here. It backfired -- and so will this. There was no reason to panic then, and there is no reason to panic now.

4. Mike Stark attacked by Allen thugs
Mike is an on-line friend. He is a constituent of Allens who was trying to ask a question.

Of course Mike loves to ask questions.

Started calling up all the right wing talk show hosts and put up a blog "Calling All Wingnuts" for the audios. Found here:
http://www.callingallwingnuts.com /

When he started law school, he knew he would have to cut back - and he and Sean Hannity actually had a decent conversation when Mike called him to say he wasn't going to be around because he was going to law school to learn how to really fight the right.

He is supposed to be on MSNBC tomorrow, but I don't know which program or when.

video of the attack here:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- A protester who shouted questions at Virginia Sen. George Allen was pushed to the floor during Allen's campaign appearance Tuesday at a Charlottesville hotel.

Digg It:

Background on Mike:
http://www.mydd.com/story/2006/10/12/174124/21

Suggested frame:

"Hmm. So... a guy asks Senator Allen a question relating to those persistant "wife-beater" rumours. Allen responds by having the guy beaten up. Well, I guess that's one way to answer things!"

Linking violence against Mike to violence against women/his ex-wife is key.

Little Felix Macacca resorts to beating on a constituent rather than answer legitimate questions about his past. What a surprise. Well maybe not considering his long track record of racist woman hating behavior and naming his child after the founder of the KKK. A real peach you folks have there there in VA. I'm surprised he didn't spit on the guy which is his SOP.
