Our Kerry debate falls into the rethugs game plan. Time to chill.
With all due respect friends; does anyone know how to do a group Vulcan mind meld?

The message: Let go of the Kerry debate. Focus our precious energy into TN, VA, and MO.

The rethugs want us to debate Kerry. Please try and see that tact; its classical Rove strategy hiding in plain site. Every post, blog, story of same feeds the fire and distracts from defeating our common enemy. Whats at stake in 7 days is far more compelling then any Kerry debate thread; and I'm sure he (Kerry) would agree. He made his point. Time to move on.

Lets close ranks and not fall prey to rethug saber rattling. Together, we will toss the morality police and war mongers into the right side of the trash can. We need each other's eyes ,ears, and head clear of distraction.

Our Kerry debate falls into the rethugs game plan.
Lets stop giving comfort to the enemy.

We are going to win lots on November 7th....with less distraction, we will win even BIGGER.

1. This election is a referendum on the bush administration
and the republican congress the rubber stamped everything he sent accross

It is also about IRAQ

They want Kerry to appologize, I WANT THEM TO APPOLOGIZE FOR THE DEATHS THEY CAUSED

That is what I WANT

They brought this fight to us, and like it or NOT we NEED TO CONFRONT IT

5. Confront the rethug enemy, end the debate on the messenger.

Yes, still_one, they did bring this fight to us and I agree, we NEED TO CONFRONT IT.

However, far better, as the bumper sticker says to: Think Globally, Act Locally. We are confronting it and driving home a message in our local districts/elections regarding this morally bankrupt war. It is a 24/7 effort. And yes, the harm to our society via the Iraq mistake is way beyond a rethug apology anyway. They need to acknowledge their mistake and do whatever it takes to end the deaths of our soldiers and innocent Iraqis.

My point is simply that our debate about the merits of the messenger (Kerry) takes away from the message itself. Lets confront the repugs as a party united, not divided. Lets agree to disagree on Kerry if needed, at least till the election. The focus now must be on VA, MO, and TN. Lets unite and kick the rethugs collective butt outta office in 7 days; then if we are so inclined, talk about Kerry again. Tho I think we will be too busy celebrating to care, eh friend :toast:

They are trying to make this an issue about an appology, when it is in fact about a failed administration

3. I always get a kick out of these "stop posting about a topic" posts.
You know, one way to let a topic die down is to not bring it up yourself.

7. Yes - Agreed. Though I've noticed....
...that if enough folks point out the harm in feeding a topic fire, the moderators of DU will rapidly dispose of or move the repeat threads to a less visible locale. So it speeds things along (sometimes).

So DemItAllAnyway, there is a method to my madness.

Now, lets see if THIS post hangs around :headbang:
