1. I voted no
Before I heard about his Republican operative, I would have voted yes. But now I know he is the same person who endorsed D'Amato in 1986, and Bloomberg in 2001. He took the pugs 30 pieces of silver and now he has to live with it.

7. Huge success! Second place in DC primary, after Dean
And, most important for me, first place in my old voting ward.

Of course, this is just a personal victory, since, as has been pointed out to me on these very boards, the DC primary doesn't count.

8. Delegates not voters
He had to get 15% of the voters in a precint to get a delegate at all. He probably made that threshold in 8 seperate places.

4. Depends on What Your Expectations Were
I expected him to throw a spanner in the works. He succeeded, wildly.

5. I vote a qualified "yes"
Edited on Sun Feb-08-04 11:26 AM by mose82
I don't know if he should be "proud" exactly, but he has outlasted Gephart and Lieberman, and is at least mentioned in serious media coverage of the primary. He participated in several debates, and even managed to pick up a delegate. Not too bad for someone who I, and most people,wrote off as joke a few months ago.

On edit: My bad about Washington. I'll be more careful :}

9. Yes..
I never really paid much attention to Al Sharpton but I do now. I believe he has proven himself in the debates to be previously underrated. I hope he continues in his campaign all the way to the convention. I'm not sure where he would fit but I would like the new democratic administration appoint him to a position within the government.

11. Yes and No
His witty speeches and unorthodox style has enamored much of the party too him, but not enough for actual votes. On the other hand, his South Carolina speech was so arrogant and cocky that it turned me off to him permanently. Tearing down loser candidates in your "victiory" speech when you recieve 9% of the vote is rediculous.
