On the Katrina nightmare. One focuses on the screwups coming from Homeland Security. One little tidbit in the prepub review that bowled me over was the fact that an airlift effort was postponed because DHS was insisting on screening every person and refused to do anything until x-ray equipment could be delivered and installed.

I am EMBARRASSED by that remark, embarrassed for the US. It sounds so lame and stupid. If I heard the President or PM or King of another country say that, I'd think s/he was a complete moran(sic).

Of course, the Republican propaganda machine so-called MSM hasn't touched this one. Does anyone doubt that if Kerry had been president, they would be bleeting about this non-stop?
