Let's start another Kerry thread because 100 isn't enough...
Can't we keep them all on the same thread or at least a relative few threads?

Shouldn't the focus be on how to win rather than fretting and bitching about something that happened?

Does anyone know the true purpose of a negative attack? It's voter suppression, depression, and preoccupation. Such obsession with the Kerry story is only giving Republicans their intended goal. Until now, Democrats were focused, united, and determined. Let's stick with that.

3. I never ever ever want to hear another comment about the liberal media bias!
All day long on every news channel we have corportate whores trying to undermine a Democratic victory with a non-issue. Now it's all night long too. Listen up motherfuckers, John Kerry isn't even running in 2006! How then is he pertinent to the 2006 election?

FUCK YOU CNN. Fuck you Fox and Fuck you NBC. This bullshit will neither be forgotten nor forgiven after the election.

4. Okay, now this is obnoxious ...

Be annoyed if you must that a hundred threads exist on a topic you personally don't think worthy of that number of threads. But, to start yet another one to complain about it is, well, silly.

5. That's the point...
It's to make people realize what we're doing to our site! We're bouncing interesting topics to the back pages for the sake of dozens of redundant Kerry threads that really are not threads. They're mere comments which belong posted as comments, not threads. My posting this thread was a plea for control and to mock (not on a personal level) the redundant threads.

We need to start using comments when possible. It'll be easier to keep track of the topics then. Right now things are so chaotic that people automatically assume the topics are buried or so disorganized that they might as well post a fresh topic (no matter how redundant) so that their thoughts will be addressed.

6. I think you misunderstand ...

You're complaining about people breaking a rule that doesn't even exist, and in so doing *you* are breaking a rule that does exist.

That's silly.

then maybe you could do something more useful, like post on a different topic for once.

This happens. Get used to it. Use "ignore thread" function.

17. You're really going to enjoy DU next Tuesday.
The important thing to remember, though, is that rather than use the "hide thread" function, it's always best to denegratethe performance of the mods and try to force them to act in accordance with YOUR preferences. Also, instead of contacting them privately, fling dung at them in public, because that's the best way to make sure a board with almost 100,000 members looks exactly the way you want.

If you need help in insulting the mods any further than you have in your multiple threads about why we have too many threads on one subject, let us know. :sarcasm:

18. LOL! I felt that way about hate-Ford threads this morning.
Edited on Wed Nov-01-06 10:02 PM by Clark2008
I got a little snipy with some folks because, well, I know Ford's not the perfect Democrat, but, hell, I have to live with the voting decision being made in Tennessee and I'd much rather have Ford than Corker - any ole day. I agree with him 85 to 90 percent of the time - and I don't agree with Corker at all. My sniping was more born of frustration than of anything anyone said - really.

It just bites that so many here seem to want to throw us Tennesseans to the wolves because Ford isn't the "purest" of Dem.

:(

37. I wanted the thread locked along with this one...
because the point has been made.

I don't have time to be a mod because I work/campaign during the day much of the time. Though I've thought about it. If I did, I'd do it only if the organization could be a little more like DTFC in terms of creating threads. It sounds annoying at first, but it's actually great once it gets started because so many good stories are so accessible and comments are all in the same place.

33. What needs to happen now.
A bigger-name Dem (Bill Clinton, Al Gore) needs to launch a massive attack on Republican "distortions" in general, only referring obliquely to the recent episode with Kerry. He should talk about a "pattern of disinformation" that starts on the campaign trail and ends up with us in an illegal war on false pretenses. He should refer to how, among other abuses, "decorated veterans" have been accused of being anti-military and not supporting the troops, but this is not the least of the Republicans' lies. And big-name Dem must use language so strong the MSM cannot fail to pick it up--the goal would be for numerous demands for apology to be issued and staunchly unmet.
