Why doesn't Dean drop out now...logical explaination inside
Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and what he stands for, but I believe he said he is going to drop out if he doesn't win Wisconsin. According to various polls he will not win Wisconsin and the polls, with the exception of a few, have been right.

But why wait? Why not drop out now to give Clark or Edwards a boost. That's just my humble opinion.

Actually this is more of a "I don't like John Kerry" thread. He's just not my cup of tea and I believe it will be business as usual in D.C. That's just my opinion. BUT I WILL STILL VOTE FOR HIM OVER SHRUBY McBUSH!!!

1. Why Not
Encourage Clark or Edwards to drop out? Dean has more delegates than either.

12. You don't get my point
Dean said he is GOING to drop out if he doesn't win Wisconsin...Clark and Edwards are in it till Super Tuesday. THAT'S THE REASON, he should drop out now if he's that close to giving up.

2. Why should #2 drop out but #3 and #4 stay in?
please. Why doesn't Kerry drop out since he can't beat Bush and give any of the other three major candidates a chance?

8. Why should #1 drop out just to give #2 (who's 0 for 11)

a chance to get his ass kicked by Rove & Bush?

If Dean or Edwards can't beat Kerry, they damn sure ain't gonna beat bush & rove.

And I love Wes Clark, but he has made some of the most awful mistakes I've ever seen in a campaign. My god, Wa state has a huge population of active duty and retired military, this should have been one of his hotspots, damn near a sure thing for him, and he wasn't even one the radar. Washington should have been like Oklahoma, Dean, Kerry & Clark should have been clumped together, all in the mid 30s. His organization was virtually non-existant in this state. Carl Rove will run over Clark's campaign without breaking a sweat.

4. Why don't Edwards and Clark drop out?
This really pisses me off. Dean has almost as many delegates as Edwards and Clark combined, and yet people want Dean to drop out? If anything, Edwards and Clark are vying for the same voters in Virginia and Tennessee. If your concern was really to knock out Kerry, then you should want one of those two to drop out so they won't split the vote in the two upcoming Southern primaries.

5. Like Kucinich and Mosely Braun (but not Lieberman and Sharpton,
who are Republicans obviously, Dean deserves to stay in the debate. The more voices we have "Screaming" against Bush the better.

It's still early--we can unite behind the ticket later. Be patient, this is normal. You don't want to give the RWmedia what they want: a simplistic story with no nuances and easy-to-reinforce stereotypes before we have to. They are sharpening their knives for Kerry now. Leave him some backup!

We're all loyal Dems here, especially Dean, who is a great American and a fantastic campaigner. He has been wounded mortally by the evil moles in the press who we will have to fight with tooth and nail for the next few months to get a fair hearing. Save your "get rid of the bum!" feelings for Bush and Media Whores like Cokie Roberts!!!

I'm a Kerry supporter, and would like him to win the nomination, BUT NOT YET! I like what Dean & Edwards & Clark have to say, and as long as all four are mostly bashing bush, we (the Dems) win.

Besides, the Kerry campaign needs the political combat. It'll sharpen their skills, AND it'll hone the campaigning skills of the people in the Dean, Clark & Edwards camps. We need that, because it's gonna take ALL of us to beat bush & rove, no matter who the nominee is.

7. Clark is the one who should drop
He's taking mostly Dean, anti-establish voters and is not lighting a fire anywhere.

Edwards isn't going anywhere until Super Tuesday, and we just have to accept that.

Sharpton isn't going anywhere until the convention, and neither is DK (not to lump them together in any way except gramatically).

11. Excellent idea, GoPsUx!

I would Fire Terry mccaulife and replacem him with Howard Dean

Although I don't think you have to fire McAuliffe, I think the position rotates at the convention, and the nominee gets to put his man in that position. (I could be wrong, but that's my understanding) Howard Dean as the Democratic National Chairman could turn fundraising on it's ear, and begin the process of weaning the Dems from the corporate teat.

And welcome to DU!
