1. just want to repeat: callforchange.com is about as easy as volunteering gets
just sign up, click the URL they send you, and whenever you have 5 free minutes, make calls and ask a 2-question survey, clicking whichever button matches the response.

sit there in your PJs with your tea and make as many calls as you feel like. then stop. then start again some other time, just by clicking the same link.

if you have a phone with long-distance and Internet access, just sign up--even if you can only spend 15 minutes between now and Tues., it'll make a difference in getting out the vote.

3. It's a bit surreal ...

I've been on the phone all night and also reading/post to DU.

I got a committment from one indivudal in his 50's who has never voted whoo says he will vote next week a straight Dem ticket. "I've always been sympathetic to Democracts ... just never voted, even though I register." I have to take him to the polling place, which is going to be difficult given a directive I received at work today, mention elsewhere.

I don't really care. I may just not show up for work, as I have more important things to do.

4. I'm actually doing more than one of those things...
The time to let up is AFTER our win is certified, or our loss is challenged to the bitter end.
