Just received a strange phone call concerning a poll.

Was about the Nelson/Harris debate last night in Florida.

Channel 2 (Tampa) called me & what is strange is I live in Fort Myers (150 miles to the south of Tampa).

Of course I gave the answers to make Katherine Harris Crazy look her worst.

1. I saw that debate, she completely melted down!!!

6. I saw a vey small part of it

and had to hit the remote in about 3 minutes as my foot inched perilously close to the screen.

She applied her makeup with a trowel, as usual, but lacked the arched back, knockers up pose of her campaign appearances.

Sad to say, the section I saw made her look a little more polished than the deer in the headlights Nelson. It was obvious to me she was quoting from Lamebawl's Bizarro World, but the delivery was OK.

Unfortunately, Joe Dummy only notices the delivery and not the substance. She could have been reciting dirty limericks and old Joe would think she won the debate.

Did her demeanor change, or was she destroyed by annoying facts?

3. I ALWAYS ask any pollsters who is paying for the poll

before I will tell them anything. It has an amazing effect on callers. They either can't or won't tell me, so I inform them we have nothing further to discuss.

The debate was carried by NBC affiliates around the state of Florida.

But ... Channel 2 is in Daytona Beach. Channel 8 is in Tampa.

took a phone poll sometime in August..

can't remember who she said paid for the poll... enywhoo

about 1/2 the questions were on senate/house races (pre-primary)

the other 1/2 were on bush...

I was splitting my gut when I heard my partner's responses to a series of questions where you rate bush on a scale of 1 to 5..

she kept asking "is there anything lower than a 1?"

11. Watch out for Push Polls whose only purpose is to implant lies in your

brain. The GOP can do upwards of 3 Million calls a day. If it seems odd - hang up. Or waste their time. Your choice.
