Why aren't those Dems who called on Kerry to apologize demanding that Boehner
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 05:48 PM by blm
apologize for a DELIBERATE smear of the military?

Why would Hillary support BushInc and tell Kerry he should apologize while not supporting Dean and Reid in demanding an apology from Boehner for his DELIBERATE SMEAR against the generals and commanders in Iraq?

Shouldn't she be front and center on this since she seems to be the Dem in charge of our paty's image with the military?

Why leave it to just a press release here and there from Democrats? Hillary found a camera to condemn Kerry, can't she find one to condemn Boehner?

And prompted by another story - Why aren't those camera lovers who condemn Kerry for a dropped word grabbing a camera to condemn George Allen standing by while his workers attack a CITIZEN?

2. My guess is that Boehner isn't a likely 2008
Democratic presidential candidate, therefore is not a threat to Hillary, therefore can say what he damn well pleases. (According to her rule book.)

Not that I'm cynical or anything. ;-)

3. Or a senator watching a voter beaten?
I am really hating our party today. Where is our party when a voter can be beaten up by campaign staffers at a political event.

Becuase it does not take courage to attack a fellow Democrat.
It takes courage to attack the GOP/media.

I might ask this question of ALL Democrats w/ media access, not just the ones who bashed Kerry.

They are AWOL as far as TV appearanced go like they have been on every other GOP scandal handed to us on a silver platter (See DSM, Gannon, Foley, Macacca, etc, etc, etc)

They did put out some web-only text & video (AKA for netroots donor's eyes only). Big deal.

4. Because today, Levin and Reed were busy calling Bush out of touch.
(as if it was news), for his comments on Rumsfeld he made yesterday in the afternoon. Schumer is busy explaining that Kerry is benched and the other ones are worried to rock the boat.

8. Democrats must be very careful about what they say!
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 06:10 PM by ProSense
I'm reading this sentiment a lot. What the hell is wrong with people? Bush, Boehner and other Republicans in Congress and the administration are out there saying whatever the hell they please, from blatantly blaming generals to the troops, calling Democrats terrorists and un-patriotic, and assaulting voters. So the wingnuts pull a fast one, and now people are cautioning Democrats to be careful about making honest, open statements for fear of wingnuts.

This country has gone completely crazy!

9. Because that isn't what the media asks about or covers.
The media only asks about things that hold a potential for damage to Dems. If they volunteer a thought, it will be edited out. Swiftboating worked because of the extensive free media coverage it was given. They were glad to cover Kerry when it obscured the Real Security Plan because they could then to deny the Dems have a plan. There job is GOP propaganda and they do it well. The Dems don't find the cameras, the cameras find them when there is a chance for embarrassment.

10. Probaby because they want this brouhaha to go away
so we can focus on the individual races throughout the country.

This isn't about Kerry; this is about an election next week.

14. OK, now you're talking.
I can see that strategy and that is definitely worthy of discussion.

I stand corrected.
