I heard real clarity and truth twice this morning. |
|
Once on Face the Nation and once on Wolf Blitzer. These were Howard Dean's interviews, and I felt like all the lies of the last three years were forgotten for a short time. I felt like our country was back to a better and more honest time.
But then the interviews were over, and I realized reality....that this kind of truth is too vibrant and too painful for most people.
Even our own Democratic party is not very happy with this kind of truth. I know that here in Florida where our state chair put Dean down, and I know it from things that are being checked out in other states as well..
I know why the other party doesn't want the clarity, but I have a lot of trouble with my own party destroying the messenger.

insult any of the four serious candidates. This is self-defeating, immature behavior. It can come back to haunt us in the fall. It is ONLY in the bush peoples' favor for us to behave this way. In fact, we will have to take this a step further very soon. I want General Clark to be president. But if he is not the parties' candidate, I will not become resentful, blame other candidates, or the media. It will only mean that one of the other candidates has the support of more people than Clark. Remember, it is the republican party that thinks that even if their candidate has a lot less votes, he still wins, because he has some ill-defined right to win, because they want him to. It's not the way democracy works, folks. We need unity, not whining.
