The federal government pulls down a Web site that may have "inadvertently" published instructions on how to build a nuclear bomb.

Why isn't this incredibly stupid and dangerous mistake getting so little press? Why aren't the Democrats pouncing on this?

national security or American lives. The decision to go into Iraq, you'll recall was announced two weeks before the last mid-term. The decision to hang Saddam is now announced two days before this one. Dips in Bush's poll numbers, you'll also recall, were invariably followed by "Orange" alerts or suddenly revealed "new" messages from arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden.

The website with the nuclear paperwork (in stark contrast to the secrecy typical of this administration) was put up to "prove" to the unbelievers that Saddam, despite all evidence to the contrary, was a "threat". That other rogue states or terrorist groups might profit from this information, of course, is, once again, wholly secondary to more pressing Republican political exigencies.

4. Exactly
and to the point. Why not give the terrorists instructions to build a nuclear weapon - perhaps it can be used as more fodder for fear and keep the Republicans in power. Somehow the Republicans will turn the story around so that it seems like it was the Democrats who put the instructions up there.
