Clark being ignored: Yet another example
It was on CNN. On Saturday covering the WA and MI results. Going to commercial they had a chart of results to date, map of the US with Kerry wins in ?Red, South Carolina in Green with a legend on the left side showing Kerry = Red, Edwards = Green.

Oklahoma was in Grey (hardest to see) with no legend for Clark or Grey.

I realize that OK was pretty close to a split, but a win's a win! Clark won that by more than the purported Florida GE split in 2000. I said out loud, "that's just not fair!"

Clark did his punditry for CNN didn't he? Do they hate him there or what?

1. No, it's just that he's no longer necessary.
Clark was needed in case the anti-war sentiment of the party propelled someone like Dean to the front. Everything about his campaign was geared to stop Dean. Once Dean got axed in Iowa, Clark's campaign fell apart since his target was now gone.

2. There is a media blackout of Clark to ensure
He is not the nominee. Clark running against Bush wouldn't even be a contest.

3. According to CNN. OK is to close to call
They think it was a tie they said it the night of the primary, and now they are sticking to that until the recount is over.

11. But since the # of delegates is basically the same
And whether Clark or Edwards "won" is basically immaterial, why do they have a problem calling it for Clark?

4. Did you see the Wolf Blitzer interview
It was awesome. Peoiple need to wake up this guy will flush * down the toilet once he gets the exposure. Maybe the Dem powers that be might want to reconsider.

6. The problem is people don't get to see the real person--only the media
version of what those whores think he or she is.

Clark comes across very well--that's why he was, and still is my second choice.

Dean lights up a room, but the media don't want you to know that.

Kerry puts me to sleep.

5. It's a horribly frustrating experience
for all the Clark supporters, I bet. Like many, many others, I've worked remotely on the campaign, no rallies to attend, no big handshakes or photos. Just lots of phone calls on the eblock (and a rougher system for the NH primary), emails to get the word out, and multiple donations whenever I could manage it. And the media comes along and completely dismisses the best candidate (arguably) for the job of undoing the rich fratboy emperialist moron. They have to be on strict orders for this kind of behavior.

8. Ilsa, I've had the privilege to meet Gert and then Wes in person...
shook both their hands and looked them straight in the eye.

Let me tell....Wes Clark is the same person on TV that he is in person! He radiates the same modesty, directness and intelligence. He is also at peace with himself.

He is no phony, that's for sure....

10. Oh, that's sounds so wonderful.
Wish I could have shared that experience in the flesh. You're so right: his modesty and integrity and intellect really do transcend the boob tube. Nice observation about being at peace with himself.

I told my husband last night that I had an invitation to meet Gert in Dallas on 2/18 at a fundraiser. He started trying to figure out a way for me to attend. I had to tell him to hold his horses, he would still be gone (on business for two weeks), it's 350+ miles away, and the kids are in school (and one of our kids has a disability). Besides, the $250 is affordable, but I sure could apply that towards some of the medical bills (and speech therapy) that pile up. I'll continue giving to the campaign the way I have been: through little amounts I earn in my home-based business as a nurse.

7. Just last week, Yahoo did it too
Yahoo ran a story (I guess someone made them) about Wes winning OK. A story about Wes' win, with one photograph OF JOHN KERRY!

Was that some kind of subliminal ploy, or just another example of media annointing?

...(of people who feel their candidate is getting screwed by the media). As a Kucinich supporter, all I can say is at least the media gave your guy a chance!!!
