If stem cell research was passed and you were against it...
...and a cure for Parkinsons, ALS, diabetes, etc. was found, would you take advantage of the cure?

I'd love to throw that out to Repugs who are opposed. I have a feeling they would be the first in line.

2. ..
Living in OK we have lots of tribal benefits for Indians. A large number of the Indians are conservative Christians that would never dream of gambling & are totally opposed to it. But most of them do not realize that the benefits they have are coming from the casinos their tribal leaders set up. So I think people will not think twice about benefiting from a new treatment if their lives depended on it no matter what their religious stance in Stem cell research is.

3. Missouri stem cell?
The repub's/conservatives? what ever? would certaintly be the first in
line for a cure, but this issue is more about gettin' them to the polls than anything else? Do you agree?
This time it will back fire.

wives, or girlfriends have never had an abortion whenever they've needed one! GMAFB!

Not only would they get the "cure", they'd probably pull their "strings" to get to the front of the line.

6. You know my husband said the same thing...
only he thinks IF you are really so against it because it's soooooooo morally wrong then you should be willing to sign something stating that you will never use it when cures are found. (or your family) Of course that won't happen, they would all probably be first in line to take advantage of the cures found from the research.

7. They will then campaign against publicly funded treatments
involving stem cells so poor people on Medicaid, etc. won't be able to afford them, but they will gladly have whatever is available through their excellent private health plans.

8. Now that would be hypocrisy...
wouldn't it? The question doesn't apply to me because I'm for anything that may help someone's suffering as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
