All of our candidates should hang in there |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-08-04 02:35 PM by BeyondGeography
at least until March 2.
The more voices we have preaching the anti-Bush message, the better it is for our party.
The more competition John Kerry has, the better it will be for him in the long run.
Howard Dean and Wesley Clark gave two of the most effective critiques of the Bush Administration you'll ever hear today on CNN Late Show.
John Edwards is mobilizing and exciting people wherever he goes.
Al Sharpton got off one of the great lines of the campaign last night at the JJ dinner ("Now they want to make gay marriage an issue. This election isn't going to be about who you sleep with. It's going to be about do you have a job when you wake up in the morning.")
Dennis Kucinich keeps those who would claim liberal positions on the war and free trade honest, by virtue of his consistency.
So, it's all good, far as I'm concerned. And I will miss the back-and-forth when it goes away. People on this board at least should think twice about calling for candidates to drop out before March 2. The process will take a turn for the worse when there are fewer voices to hear.

1. Agreed - for many reasons |
|
The Bush money will buy a lot in this elelction - not the least of which will be an attack machine on our candidate. The more candidates that hang in to the convention, the more their strategy will be revealed and their message diluted.
If Kerry keeps sailing through, there may be a terrible blow from the RW that would leave us with a crippled candidate. Keep at least two in the wings.
Anywy - that is how I see it.

2. I hope all Candidates hang in till the convention |
|
Bush has to much money to spend. Way, Way too much.
You never can guess what this administration is going to come up with in diverting our attention. The * administration is trying to slow the momentum of the truth being exposed. We need all candidates voices to tell it like it is and to support each other. They are all great!!

5. JK supporter here, I agree. |

We need the competition, and the flow of fresh ideas.
Plus the media is eating up this race, the longer it is making headlines the better. At least until March I can see (and hope) everyone stays in there being civil and attacking Bush with the facts.
