Bush at 40% approval from all respondents and Dem lead over Rep, in general, down to 6%?

:wtf:

AH, here's the answer. Thanks for the catch, jackbourassa:

908a. Would you say your views on most political matters are liberal, moderate, or conservative?

Don't think in No
Liberal Moderate Conservative those terms (vol.) op.
11/4/06 19 42 36 2 1
10/22/06 22 42 32 2 2

They oversampled CONs.

1. They over counted Republicans...
You can tell by their screening model which was included.

No biggie. We're winning BIG in every other poll. Washington Post/ABC polls tend to go more Republican than others.

3. We should see at least 2 more polls today or tomorrow
Final WP and Newsweek polls are out already. I think there will be CBS/NYT and a CNN polls. Probably Fox will have a poll out too.

6. Another thing...
The same poll had Democrats winning by 10% (53% to 43%) among Registered voters...so the Washington Post seems to think that the Republicans are more motivated than Democrats to vote for some reason. Ridiculous.

5. That's funny, because
I heard on Air America news his approval rating had dropped 2 points to 35% and the Dem lead was up but sorry, I can't remember how much.

7. The ABC/Washington Post poll SUCKS...
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 07:02 AM by jackbourassa
It's always pro-Bush and pro-Republican. Go to pollingreport.com and contrast other polls with ABC/Washington Post polls during corresponding dates and you'll see a noticable pro-Bush discrepency in the latter.

9. I think his polls always go up when the President is on TV.
I am not sure if that is true but it seems to be that way to me. Any President.

10. The Kerry faux pas is probably accounted for in this poll...
Edited on Sun Nov-05-06 07:29 AM by Kahuna
I know, I know, there were polls posted yesterday that showed no effect, but it really does take longer than a couple of days for the effects of an event to be fully reflected.

On a positive note, we won't see the polls that will reflect the Haggard issue. But on a negative note, I doubt if a poll will be released prior to the elections that will reflect Haggard. The downside to this is that it will give the MSM two days to bleat about how Kerry gave the repukes a gift blah blah blah.

12. ABC also owns a network of pure right wing radio stations...
I wouldn't put any stock in their polls. Newsweek seems to be pretty reliable.

13. Also check out Pollster.com
http://www.pollster.com/senate.php

We have to win VA, MO and MT to take the Senate. We can do that, espeically since we are leading in the last 5 polls average out in all those races.

14. OR..........
they're softening people up for another "steal the vote" result. "See, we predicted the last minute Republican surge"". :eyes:
Then Diebold works it's "magic" and no one thinks anything of it, the Republicans "surged" toward the end. It's happened before and I KNOW the GOP isn't going to go down fairly. The citizens of this country have no business choosing their own leaders. The GOP can do a MUCH better job of choosing our leaders than the American people can. :sarcasm:
That's the way they think and we all know it.
