Don't ask me why, I just think that it would be a good date to find him guilty and sentence him for his crimes against humanity. It's got nothing to do with anything else that might be going on right around that time. Honest.

1. Thank you for saying it.
I am sick of hearing people say, "Yeah, okay, I know there turned out not to be weapons of mass destruction, and yeah, I know Saddam had nothing to do with Al Quaeda or 9/11, but, c'mon, Saddam is a REALLY BAD GUY!"

With all the LEGIONS of "really bad guys" leading countries and political parties, etc., in this world of ours, what in the HELL business of ours is it to go around picking off "really bad guys" by wasting our soldiers' lives and billions of our money which could be better used to improve our citizens' lives???

And furthermore, EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING, I know about Saddam Hussein, I learned from the mainstream media. I would like to know some of what is written about him in his NATIVE LANGUAGE, but I don't speak or write that language, and, indeed, I am not even sure of the NAME of his native language. In other words, I have never once directly heard and understood a single word said by Saddam Hussein, even in videotapes of him.

And, of course, we sit here under a hideous, deformed, deranged, dishonest little tin-pot tyrant--we, the formerly envied American people--about whom it seems we can do virtually nothing to stop his continual evil acts, and we are supposed to be all concerned about "Saddam getting his just punishment"???

There isn't a single mention of Saddam and his trial in the media, after which I don't say to myself, I wish that Bush/Cheney could be brought to trial for the atrocities that THOSE war criminals have committed. Until Bush/Cheney are brought to justice, I don't think we Americans should even express an opinion on some other country's alleged tyrant's fate.

I've pencilled in Nov. 3, 2008 on the ol' calendar.

2. Agreed.... Just by using Depleted Uranium he is menacing the
world. It is banned by the geneva conventions... This is one of the charges the red cross is filing against the man.
