Charlie Crist looks SO uncomfortable holding a rifle!
I got this mailer the other day...I wish I would've kept it and scanned it, but the wife saw it was Crist and threw it out. It showed him holding a rifle next to some NRA guys, and MAN he looked like he was holding a rattlesnake!

Maybe if he would've spent some time in the military he would have become comfortable and proficient around firearms. :eyes:

Anyway, the same day I get a mailer for the guy running for the state CFO position (Tom Lee?), and *it* is bragging about he will save gun rights for Floridians.

:wtf:

I don't give a FLYING FUCK how the CFO feels about gun rights, I want him to know about FINANCIAL matters. :eyes:

6. Yes, we all know how well that image worked for him......
:sarcasm:

I don't want to know that my candidates know how to use a rifle or a gun. I actually care that one of their hobbies might be killing living things.

Do they know how to balance a budget? Do they care about the poor? Are they willing to do what it takes to shrink the deficit? Are they able to see the value of diplomacy over war? DO they think women have the right to choose how and when to use their own reporductive systems? ------ Those are just SOME of the things I DO care about.

I'd be really happy if the stupid NRA and all their guns disappeared tomorrow, thanks.

8. That was a shotgun...
Yes, we all know how well that image worked for him......

and it would have worked a heck of a lot better had duck hunting mattered to more than 5% of gun owners. The gun issue is about nonhunting guns, not guns used for hunting (80% of gun owners aren't hunters, and most hunters aren't duck hunters).

Senator Kerry was given some singularly bad advice on the gun issue, and it hurt him at the polls, just as it did Gore in '00. That's why the national party leadership has come around to a more pro-gun-owner position since '04.

Dems and the Gun Issue - Now What?

As a former Florida resident, I'm still scratching my head over the Florida party's strategy this time around.

2. wish we had the image
It showed him holding a rifle

I think that would probably look as silly as the idiot Bush doing the telletubby thing on the aircraft carrier.

3. Crist is a little odd duck... I wish more would have come out of the
fact that he allowed a private company to take over payroll for the state that swore they wouldn't ship the info overseas... the company, of course, shipped private govt employees info overseas. Nothing has been done about this. Not even an investigation or charges brought up against this co. This is Crist's job as attny general.

It seems though the gay rumor is taking hold even better than the actual fraud he perpetuated.

7. What do want to bet the homophobes in the FL GOP
See that photo and assume he looks uncomfortable with a gun because he really is gay. Whether he is or not. It could really help us. :)

5. that's so funny because my local repuke rag has a pic of blackwell
holding a gun at a local gun show. What's even more "funny" is that blackwell not all that "pro gun".

"While mayor of Cincinnati Blackwell signed into law a ban on the ownership of an air-gun, BB gun, musket, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol, or ammo, therefore bowie knife, dirk or other device possessed, carried or used as a weapon, by anyone under the age of 18" (Cincinnati City Council, ordinance 201-80)

"was 1 of 2 voting against providing high-caliber .357 hand guns to Cincinnati police. ( Cincinnati Enquirer 9/28/78)

so I wonder why would they show him with a rifle, what's their motive, would any one care to venture a guess?:sarcasm:
