why the W.H. neo cons keep visiting the 'stans'

"One of the more stunning revelations, and there are a number of these, in the book concerned Kazakhstan, a country with newly-discovered oil reserves that well most likely exceed those of Saudi Arabia. The problem is that Kazakhstan is landlocked, far away from any sea ports, so lengthy pipelines need to be built. And guess what? Three of the most logical routes run through Afghanistan, Iran and along the northern border of Iraq. I'm trying to recall where we've been engaged in wars recently and where we may be headed next. Perhaps there's a pattern showing her or there."

Is Central Asia the New Middle East?
Silk Road to Ruin

The Stans are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and to a lesser extent Afghanistan and wanna-be member the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region that really is an integral part of China. The Stans are all Central Asian countries, an area that is little-known and barely covered by the media, who's more much interested in covering manufactured wars in Iraq and Lebanon, and, rising with a bullet, an invasion soon to be coming right down Main Street Iran . What the Stans are up to is a more difficult question to answer and involves politics, oil (perhaps a synonym for politics), history and geography.

----------------------------

think about all the times you have read about someone from the W.H. going over to the 'stans'.

think about the neo cons wanting a gas and oil pipeline in Afghanistan.

think about the neo cons being in Iraq and Afghanistan and wanting to be in Iran.

then think about the Super Highway that is being built as I type this. starting in (or ending) in a Port, run by the US, in Mexico. with the highway running up through Mex., into the US and on up into Can. to where the ice is melting and the waterway can now take ships. and where Can. and the US are starting to argue over who owns the waterway.

think about how the neo con plan is to join Mex/US/Can into one open country.

then read this article:

2. there is one other point of view here.
the 'stans are also using the u.s.

kazakhstan in particular feels vulnerabel stuck between russia nd china -- and while the u.s. could never run serious interference in the region -- we do offer some ways to take the heat off from between the two giants -- which let's face don't really express a lot of brotherly love for each other and the stans.

4. It isn't just Washington, the EU is cozying up to the Stans as well, as

is Turkey.

These countries are an immense area and 'underpopulated' by European most Asian standards, they have resources ranging from oil and gas to minerals to timber...

This area was once the 'cutting edge' of world civ, since they were on the silk road, witness Bukhara and Samarkand and other cities that are little known in the west today.

This is an area that stretches from Ukraine to China!

Europe and North America have already been exploited, South America is turning inwards, Australia and New Zealand are off limits, Africa has too many troubles, East Asia is too crowded and independent -- what is left?

Central Asia.
