Krazy Katie Harris' hometown newspaper endorses Nelson, her opponent

Also endorses Democrats Alex Sink for Florida Chief Financial Officer and Skip Campbell for Attorney General. Evidently they agree with everyone else that it is time for a major change.

As for harris ..... they say she is a poor leader, demonstrates bizarre behavior, even calls her a laughable liar and an embarrassment. They only point out what the rest of us have known all along.

It has been painful and embarrassing to watch the meltdown of Katherine Harris' campaign for the last 18 months, but Floridians don't have to settle for her poor leadership in the U.S. Senate. Democrat Bill Nelson is a mainstream moderate who offers the conciliatory voice the country needs in these trying times, not more polarizing, bizarre behavior by a high-profile leader. Far from Harris' laughable effort to label him as a liberal opponent of tax cuts, Nelson has voted for tax cuts more than 80 times - just not the cuts benefitting the rich, as Harris has.

While Harris' public image has shrunk in recent months, Nelson's has expanded with widespread recognition of his leadership role on offshore drilling and prescription drugs for the poor.

On immigration reform, Nelson is much closer to the position of President Bush than is Harris. As a former state insurance commissioner, Nelson has a keen understanding of Florida's insurance mess and vows to seek remedies at the national level. He has avoided personal attacks, believing that Americans are tired of the GOP-inspired partisanship that keeps the country gridlocked.

Re-electing Bill Nelson will end the embarrassment caused by Harris and restore Florida to a place of respect in the Senate.

I'm going to miss Krazy Katie. Her bizarre behavior was at times very entertaining. She needs a nice long rest. I hope they find a real nice institution for her to spend the rest of her days in.

3. Kickitup.

I'm kicking this back up if for no other reason than Harris' own hometown newspaper called her a liar and an embarrassment. Gems like that are worth repeating.
