2. It's closer to 20 points, actually.
Rendell will probably get about 60% of the vote on Tuesday.

At MSNBC, they keep talking about the PA governor's race like it's a football game, as though Lynn Swann is going to pull a game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter. This is horseshit. Politics is not football. It operates on relatively stable and predictable patterns.

3. Swanie is IMO the best WR ever! I love the guy, but he wouldn't
make a good Governor. I think the Pubs thought since they got Arnold in, all they needed to do was get a popular local guy, and they'd be home free. Sorry Karl, the people of Pa are not that damn dumb!

6. I think they gave away this election
Because Bill Scranton would have been competitive with Rendell but the PA Repukes figured that Lynn Swann could raise the money without needing help from the party since he was, well Lynn Swann. And Republicans are having a very difficult time in PA. Not only are 5 US congressional seats very competitive this year (at least three are going to switch from Repuke to Dem) but the PA House & Senate is at risk because of the pay raise the republicans voted for themselves. I think they'd rather save Scranton for 2010 when Rendell will be out on term limits

4. Same thing for MA and the closest poll has been with a 13 % lead for Patrick.
The most recent ones have him up with 20 + %.

5. The NY Times
is a rag publication.

They're trying to sell papers any way they can.

If that means giving the republikkans false hope, then they'll do it.

7. It's schitzophrenic
Its editorial sections leans to the left. Notice how they endorsed no republicans.

But I think the rest of the paper is much less liberal (covering up NSA spying story for example) and arguably even right of center.
