Lamont Will WIN! Here's my take...
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 08:31 PM by 98geoduck
1.For all of those that the least bit of belief in Quinnipiac Polls, for Anything but right wing bias, here's an add that's been on the top of AirAmericaRadios website for the last month....http://www.shameonquinnipiac.org/

2.Internal Polls show Lamont CLOSER than Polls taken before the Primary Election that Joe LOST!
Incumbents typically need a large spread to defeat their challenger. Joe DOES NOT HAVE THIS.

3. I've been to several of Ned's events and the turnout and energy is Amazing. It puts Joe's hired and paid for "volunteers" to shame, as in 75-1.

4. Joe's "supporters" are typically republicans and cons "dem", and may either sit this one out, or vote republican(Schlessinger). There's virtually no "Strong Support"

5. Lieberman's name is difficult to locate on the ballot, and the republican candidate is much easier to find and check for all the senile republicans.

6. The Mainstream Media has been spinning and push polling this whole election for Joe, and there is STILL concern by them. Otherwise, they would not be continuing their rhetoric about how Joe will be a good "moderate" democrat, flaunting Qpac polls, then throwing in the possibilities for an upset to maintain credibility.

8. Ned's supporters are hard line democrats and Independents that want CHANGE, and are MOTIVATED to get out and VOTE!

QUIT BELIEVING ALL OF THE NAYSAYER, BULLSHIT, HYPE that trolls, polls and the MSM is throwing out there, because they aren't EVEN CLOSE!

With that said, GOTV intelligent CT residents!

2. Something that has gotten little attention
or coverage in the local press is that there has also been a very large amount of new voter registrations. Democrats far outnumber Republicans and Independents out number both. I think it's interesting to say the least since these new voters have probably not been polled or at least I don't think they have. I think another hopeful sign is that Lieberman is still plastering ads all over the place. Why is he doing this if he has the race locked up?

4. I agree 100%.
Lieberman is relying on very weak support when it comes to actually pulling the lever.
I think people are going to be shocked here.

5. It ain't over til the fat lady sings.
Too many people are more than willing to write an epitaph for Lamont today. The Dems are kicking some serious ass and the blue tidal wave could hit Connecticut too. Fingers crossed.

7. they're trying to plant it in our heads that Lamont, Ford, and even Angelides
can't win, so we won't be too "disappointed" when their Repub opponents "win." That's how they intend to hold on to the Senate, at least. That's why I haven't been near the MSM in a week. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

14. Well I can tell you something about what is happening in TN
All of Ford's rallys have been heavily attended....Yesterday The Republican candcidate for Gov. had a rally 30 to 40 showed up, this I understand, he is so down in the polls no one gives a flip...Corker on the other hand is polling very well he had a rally with 4 big names supporting him and 100 showed up in his home town..something is not quite right with this picture...if he is so popular why are people not showing up?

I know several of the recent polls out of TN were taken in the eastern part of the state heavily Republican area.....I also learned Zogby polled in the eastern part and messed up a poll re-did it calling the same people he called the first time...no reliable polster would do this because the poll is not fair and ballanced...

I really think Ford can pull this off he has the backing of 56% of independents and there are a lot of republicans backing him....

8. New Poll... Lieberman: 48 Lamont: 44 Schlesinger: 5

"New Poll - Race Tightening?
by: NewHavenBoy
Mon Nov 06, 2006 at 16:29:59 PM EST

Here's a new Polimetrix poll released today:

Lieberman: 48
Lamont: 44
Schlesinger: 5
moe= +/- 7%

Certainly, Schlesinger is going to receive more than 5% of the vote, but the Lieberman/Lamont numbers are favorable - within the margin of error!

GOTV! We can make this happen!"

15. holy shit, this is good news
but this race is pratically impossible to poll, Lamont's ground game is solid, hopefully Lieberman's falls on it's face and the GOP stick with their man

12. Lieberman needs republicans to vote for him; when voters actually
go into the voting booth, the question is whether these republicans will actually vote for him - or whether they will vote for the real republican - who many acknowledge is a pretty good candidate.

16. If there's a shocker today, this may be the race.
I wonder what kind of impact the straight Dem voters will have on this race. I wouldn't be surprised by a not so insignificant number of voters who feel indifferent about Lamont and Lieberman, but end up voting for Lamont by way of voting straight Democratic.

There's WAY more people showing up than for the Pres election.
Several Lamont Chris Murphy stickers, One W, but NO JOE!!!
This is in a somewhat conservative town, but went for Lamont in the primary by a narrow lead.

32. been saying this about Quinnipiac since their BS in 2000 on Hillary race
I've been rebutted on threads here and proved that in 2000 they showed Hillary neck in neck only to adjust to reality a few days before election (she trounced!). Thanks for this - I always thought this was just psy-ops, like the Fox sign replacements.
