Jewish Group Calls for End to Attack Ads Against Democrat Jim Davis

ST. PETERSBURG -- A national Jewish Democratic group Monday called on Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist's campaign to end its advertisements attacking Democrat Jim Davis for a 2002 meeting he held with Yasser Arafat.

The ad, which is running in South Florida, accuses Davis of having met "with terrorists and communists''

The National Jewish Democratic Council, which identifies itself as the "national voice'' for Jewish Democrats,'' noted in a Monday press release and phone calls by leaders of the group that Davis' meeting happened when a number of prominent U.S. officials met with the Palestinian leader.

2. As a Floridian of Arab descent, I can't speak for my Jewish friends...

...but I know who Robert Wexler and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz are supporting. To say that Jim Davis meets with terrorists is childish and I think it's likely to backfire.
