In the early years of Ronald Reagan’s presidency, Gresham served as Political Director for the National Conservative Political Action Committee, NCPAC. In 1984 Gresham left NCPAC to work on President Reagan’s reelection effort, where he planned and managed voter registration and ID/GOTV programs. Under his management of these programs, more than 50,000 new voters were registered and more than 600,000 Virginians were contacted for the purposes of determining their preference in the presidential election. Soon after the presidential campaign, Gresham was named Vice President of Bryant Seaman Voter Communications.

David S. Johnson
Dave Johnson is founding partner of Conquest Communications Group. He is also a partner in Bold Stroke Associates, a full-service strategic consulting, message development and management firm. During his nearly three decades of political activity, Johnson has dealt with Republican campaigns and party organizations in virtually every state in the union.
Prior to founding Conquest and Bold Stroke, Dave served as Executive Director of the Republican Party of Virginia for three years. During Johnson’s tenure, a Republican was elected to the Governorship for the first time in 12 years and the GOP ended its minority status in the State Senate for the first time ever.
Johnson also oversaw the production, budgeting and media relations for the two largest political conventions in terms of voting delegates in American history (15,000 delegates and guests and nearly 1,000 members of the media were credentialed in 1994).
Prior to joining RPV, Dave was with the National Republican Congressional Committee in a number of capacities for eight years. During the 1992 election cycle, he served as Political Director for the northern half of U.S. Early in the '92 cycle, Dave served as Director of Candidate Recruitment. His efforts in that post were successful, as the GOP saw its best recruitment cycle in history for Congressional Republicans to that time.
Also at the NRCC, Johnson was a regional field representative in the Northeast ('87 '88) and South ('89 '90), and a Research Analyst / Earned Media Specialist in the Western states ('85 '86).
