I am a registered Democrat. I would like to see the Democrats take posession of both houses of Congress. I would like to see Evan Bayh or some other centrist Democrat (preferably one with a decent foreign policy) win the election in 2008.
If Hillary gets the DNC nomination in 2008 she will not only lose the bid for President (probably to McCain), not only tarnish the Democrats reputation across the country, but also she will bring down every Democrat in every house, Senate, gubernatorial and every other race in the country. That is how much Hillary is hated in the US.
Look at this poll:
http://www.pollingreport.com/2008.htm#misc----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time Poll conducted by Schulman, Ronca & Bucuvalas (SRBI) Public Affairs. Oct. 3-4, 2006. N=1,002 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.
". . . If
were to run for president and the election was being held today, would you definitely support this candidate probably support this candidate, probably not support this candidate, or definitely not support this candidate?"
New York Democratic Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
10/3-4/06 Definetely Support = 23 Probably Support = 20 Probably Not Support = 16 Definetely Not Support = 37 Unfamiliar/Unsure = 5
7/13-17/06 Definetely Support = 19 Probably Support = 27 Probably Not Support = 14 Definetely Not Support = 34 Unfamiliar/Unsure = 6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So that is 53% who would either definetely support or probably not support her.
For McCain the number is lower and the intensity of dislike is far less.
Probably Not = 28 Definetely Not = 19
So he doesn't have all that negativity weighing him down.
We all know (or should know) Hillary will win, but it would be bad if she STOMPED Spencer, because she will then use that as her argument about why she should get the DNC nomination. So that's why I think it is a really bad idea to vote for Hillary.
She will win anyway, but you DO NOT want her to get the DNC nomination for the Presidential ticket.
Happy voting, fellow Democrats
