There is no literacy requirement to vote! They weren't checking signatures! You can make an X or have a photo ID without a signature!

It was just a trick to keep hispanic and minority from voting:

Florida: precinct 365, Pinellas county.

This is also a county with unsecured machines in libraries and churches all over the place. There is no confidence in Florida (unless you already know the outcome).

2. Did you call the hot lines to report it?
1-888-DEM-VOTE (Democratic voter assistance from the DNC)
1-866-OUR-VOTE (Election Protection coalition)
1-866-MY-VOTE-1 (Fels Institute of Government at University of Pennsylvania)

Don't know if they can help, but at least it will be recorded.

Then please post the problem in the DU problem thread

4. The same here in DC.
No requirement, but I had to show proof of identity,
sign the roster, and the little card they give you when you
check in.

How many embarrassed illiterate people would just give up?

Plus, on the ballot, you don't bubble in a circle; you connect
the 2 parts of the arrow beside your choice.

You have to be able to read the weird-assed instructions to
be able to vote?

What a crock!

7. ARE YOU KIDDING????????
"Plus, on the ballot, you don't bubble in a circle; you connect
the 2 parts of the arrow beside your choice."

Good grief! If they're suppressing the vote in Texas, what the hell is going on in states with highly contested races????????

8. Voting Machines at my precint
seem to be running very sluggishly. It took a minute or two when you went from page to page before it would accept your vote. But I did see it had a printer attached that was working. We had a good turn out when I got there early.
