DRIVING People to the POLLS!!! (An amusing anecdote)

One of the things I do to help out democracy is drive people without cars to the polls. I take loads of folks from an assisted living facility, as well as people who still live in their own homes and apartments but who no longer have cars, as well as people who DO have cars but who are afraid to park in congested areas.

Anyway, a lady (a staunch, lifelong DEMOCRAT, FWIW) I took to the polls this morning told me this funny tale. She said, before I came along (I've been doing this for a couple of years now) that she used to call the REPUBLICAN candidate's office to ask for a ride. I said "WHAT? But you're a staunch Democrat!!!" Her reply, "Well, those baaastids have all the money so I figured I'd put them out for a change--I'd just tell them that I wanted to vote for their candidate, and they'd come and pick me up straight away--no waiting! Of course, I never DID vote for that bum Romney, but I did get my ride in the morning instead of the afternoon and got home in time to see my stories!" (My stories=soap operas).

We laughed our asses off....

Well, off to make a few more runs!!!

9. I used to send checks for 1 cent whenever Rethugs asked for a donation.

I figured it was one way to get them to waste their resources on me. Plus I always got to see the propaganda they sent out to the sheeple.

No one on their side ever figured out that someone who would donate one penny might not exactly be on their side.

2. I love old lady Democrats

My Grandma was one and she didn't mince words. She said Bush was the worst president she had ever seen and she had seen alot of them since 1911. She died almost two years ago and I miss her. I will vote for her today, the way she would have...Democratic.

10. LOL! I volunteered to drive today, but no calls so far.

I drove in 2004 and had a ball. The stories some of the old folks can tell. Bless 'em!
