There's Something about CNN's Coverage of those Exit Polls that's Slimey!
Watching that panel with Fat Bill Bennett (Gambling King), Big Jim Carville whose Wife helped lead us in to Iraq, Paul Begala, the King of Spin for Hillary, JC Watts who gave up his job in Congress to go Lobby and Blitzer, looking a little greyer and unkempt tonight....that REALLY BOTHERED ME!

Did anyone else see this? CNN was reporting their first EXIT POLL results showing that "Corruption in Congress" leads over Iraq War Disapproval (although Iraq and other issues almost had equal importance).

There is something going on there that's disturbing...Any other "Media Watcher Politico's" find the whole thing very odd?

1. Yep.
They also replaced terrorism with social security a little while ago. Which is it? I call bullshit. there is NO way that the war in Iraq dropped to 4th place (concerns) overnight. That's just plain ridiculous.

6. Social Security? I missed that because I turned it off on commercial...
but I just got this got feeling that "they're up to something" and I don't know what it is.

I got this same feeling on Election Night '04 when Kerry looked really happy about 4:00 p.m. election night and by 9:00 p.m. he looked very harried and unhappy. I went to bed at 11:00 p.m. (est) because when I looked at Kerry's face at 9...I knew he knew the "fix was in" or he had been "TOLD BAD NEWS."

That night creeped me out...this Panel on CNN creeped me out and my quick scan of MSNBC was so disgusting to me...I said I'd stick with CNN rather than look at Tweety, Noron, Bob Shrum and the rest of them over there on GE/MSRNC!

Somethings afoot. I hope that I'm misinterpreting my feelings and that they are all "weird" because Dems are going to SWEEP! But, having been around here since 2000 Selection....I have to say...my gut is giving me problems.

Maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong having had my hopes dashed for 3 Elections before this...so I'm thinking that this is another stolen or "compromised one" ...but this WHORE MEDIA doesn't inspire confidence. :-(

3. It seems they asked
four separate questions for each issue instead of one question asking which issue is most important.

7. We were told "Networks" weren't going to do Exit Polls anymore because
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 06:13 PM by KoKo01
they were flawed showing a Gore win in 2000 and a Kerry win in '04...but here they are pumping some "secret, closed door thing" where the "best heads in the business" all poured over exit polls and that the "flaws from previous elections have been fixed" (according to Blitzer)

Yet they come out with this "Surprising NEW Finding" (according to AEI Whore Bill Schneider) saying that they are just shocked that "Corruption in Congress" is number one ...but Iraq is second.

somethings just odd there. Maybe I'm overeacting to this...it might get better as polls close and REAL DATA starts coming in. I just was picking up odd vibes from them.

5. It really gets to me how members from the Corporate Media are called in for this
It's the same with debates: the candidates are asked questions by members of the CM, like they're omniscient (which they aren't) and the only ones who can ask intelligent questions (which they don't). Why not have members from the academic community, such as social scientists, political scientists, statisticians, health, philosophy, etc, ask the questions? I think this would make for a much livelier debate with real information gleaned.

But for some strange reason, Corporate Media "reporters" seem to be the chosen ones...

8. I'm sick of seeing the same faces touted year after year,...what about Blogs?
What about all of us out here on the "Internets" ...and where are OUR REPS?

And, as you all here on DU know...there's a huge age range of DU'ers that doesn't skew in the 18 to 29 age group. We are a really MIXED BAG fighting for TRUTH...of ALL AGES JOINED TOGETHER...But, CNN put's forth the same old Hacks from Politics and former Presidential Regimes.

Not GOOD!!!! :-(

12. CNN has brought bloggers from around the US to DC to a bar...
and restaurant called "Tryst"; you can access the bloggers at cnn.com/blogparty. I don't know which bloggers are there, but they said there lefties and righties. Might be interesting to check in on.

9. Right there with you on this!
We really DO know why (the strange reason, that is), don't we!... Corp. Media says what they want to say, to hell with intelligent and CORRECT information... dumb down the people... keeps 'em rich.

15. I believe the mass corporate media believes the Republican voter
is more concerned with competence than corruption. If they maintain the spotlight on corruption the Republicans will answer something to the effect of everybody does it. The Bush maladministration has set national records for incompetence, Iraq and Katrina just being the most obvious examples and this cannot be so easily spun by the friendly fascists.
