The local news (Wash DC) just reported 65% estimated VA turnout
A new record for a non-presidential year.

The polls do not close until 7 PM, though, and there were a lot of votes made in advance that won't be counted for a few days, so we won't know for some time how accurate that estimate turns out to be.

1. CNN just said there were 131,000 absentee ballots requested in VA!
In a normal election it's usually less than 60,000. Both candidates are hoping thatmeans good news for them.
