Who'll be the next RNC Chair?
No surprise that Mehlkman is probably toast. He'll probably be the official fall guy for the Republican Syndicate. More interesting is, who'll be the newChair?

I'm predicting....George Felix Allen.

5. Bill Mahrer said on Larry King
last night he was going to out some high placed Repukes - maybe he will name Melhman and that's why he is leaving? Also Felix Macacawitz will be the next RNC Chair; they have to keep him in the limelight throwing footballs until he can run again.

7. That'd be interesting.
It might be a clue that they want to do outreach to the black community....but is he corrupt enough? :-)

9. I have to agree.
The republicans would be stupid enough to put him in charge. Maybe there should be co-chairs with Rummy as the point man on Neocon foreign policy. Wouldn't that be sumthin'.

12. Terri Schiavo!
Bill Frist says rumors of her death and cremation are just an excuse to keep her in an urn. She's really alert and perky.

16. You owe me a new keyboard
I spit DP all over mine. Maybe a petri dish full of stem cells could serve as the co-chairs?

13. Michael Steele
That would be my best guess. Even though he is an insufferable prick (which is a plus as far as the Repukes are concerned), they will nominate him as a chance to show African Americans that, contrary to what ALL the evidence says, they don't hate them

17. I do not think it will be Allen.
His intense glee and nearly orgasmic pleasure at mocking a young man based on his race will disqualify him I think. Particularly in light of the fact that Rove's strategy of ignoring independent moderates has been discredited.

I think it will be someone who the GOP thinks can appeal to indepedents while still keeping the Reich wing in line. Steele is a possibility. Are there any likeable mountain state republican Hispanics? If so, someone like that also would be a possibility.
