Poll question: I am not angry at the Republicans anymore. Have I lost my mind?
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 12:22 AM by Dr Fate
I'm just not angry at them anymore.

I have gone back to laughing at them and with them and I am hardly defensive at all.

I also feel like some of my old angry attitude is now obsolete- at least for this moment.

At one point it made sense to be really pissed at them and to want to really hit them hard in every way...

Maybe now it is about holding on to all these votes we just got- or as many as we can. I am not saying we let our guard down or trust them- but maybe a "we will let you have some things and we will get some things through too" sounds like the way to do it.

I am well aware of what they did and are capable of doing.

5. You no longer have the source of frustration you did before.
Yeah, that's a natural reaction, but it's not naive, it's pretty much how we're built. There's a theory that says that anger is the mind's reaction to frustration, and as you've seen things get better, it's only logical that you wouldn't react like that.

We won, the American people gave Bush a thumpin' and now, hopefully, we can get back to a little bit more of a reality based government. The unchecked nightmare is over.

They should not be the second most popular party in America either. As long as this is a two party system Dems and Cons are like bickering spouses and I cannot accept that.

I take the position similar to that taken by the allies in WWII: Unconditional surrender. The current cabal in charge of the Rethuglican party needs to be destroyed. Down with the fascists!

30. Anger replaced by pity and a great sense of disappointment...
As it was said above, vigilance is what we need. We need to do what's necessary to prevent a recurrence of these past years of right wing dominance and to bring the injustices and lies to light; however, cautious magnanimity may be a part of what's necessary in healing this nation. I don't mean to sound like we don't still have a lot of work to do either, though. The struggle is far from over.

Sure- even with it shrinking he we still have some of his faithful audience- but those types are are now national joke- and we dont need them.

I hope that loyal bloc CONTINUES to absorb bad strategy & bad attitudes from those shows- b/c the majority of voters are sick of it and are looking for something else now.

If we're talking about Voters, then no, you're not crazy. I feel sorry for them actually, they've been taken for a very long time and are coming to some painful realizations.

If we're talking about Leaders, then yes, you are crazy. Some (not all, ie Chafee) are the waste of the things that feed on scum. They are not even worthy of your anger. They have manipulated a majority of our country for our own gains. There is nothing lower.

Because that's not nice. Can we say mildly delusional due to overwhelming relief and happiness over the results of the midterm election?

Iraqi officials have estimated today that 100,000-150,000 Iraqi citizens have died in this war (with more dying on both sides every day). Does that kickstart your anger?
